Within these pages, illustrations from many artistic Earth-nauts have been compiled for your enjoyment. All we ask of you is to just add colour!
All proceeds from this e-book will be donated to the Hutt St Centre art group. Operated by an amazing community of people helping those of us facing homelessness and rough times within Adelaide.
Specifically it will be invested in art supplies such as canvas, boards, paints and brushes and sketch books etc. The funds also allow the art group participants to get their work framed and showcased within exhibitions such as SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival venues. These events provide a platform for clients' work and progress to be seen, acknowledged and purchased from the broader community.
Donated funds also go toward yearly projects such as calendars. The art group calendars showcase clients work through-out the year and are distributed amongst vendors along Hutt St.
The Hutt St Centre art shed is open three days a week. During opening hours, clients’ can drop into the shed as they please to work on their projects. The Art shed is run through the Hutt St Centre Pathways Program and is lucky enough to have skilled artists volunteer their time to assist clients each week in the art shed.
The Pathways Program have created Wellbeing Packs for rough sleepers who are in emergency motel accommodation, due to COVID-19 self distancing regulations. These packs include art books, pens, pencils and adult colouring worksheets along with other wellbeing items. Donated funds from the Colour Me In E-Book will go towards purchasing items and artistic goodies for the wellbeing packs. Hutt St Centre hopes to continue to be able to deliver these Wellbeing Packs after the COVID-19 pandemic, to clients who secure housing. These donated funds from the e-books would contribute to Pathways being able to continue to provide all clients with art supplies to encourage them and keep them engaged. Because even those less fortunate deserve to feed their creative souls during these isolating times.
Cheers to these lovely creatives for their support!
